Durability & Repair

BuildersWand includes a durability system that adds strategic depth to wand usage. Understanding how durability works and how to manage it will help you get the most from your wands.

How Durability Works

Each wand has a durability value that represents how many uses it has remaining. When you use the wand to place or break blocks, durability decreases. Once durability reaches zero, the wand breaks and becomes unusable.

Durability Display

The wand's lore shows current durability in the format, for example:

Here, the wand's durability is 74 points.

Durability Consumption

Durability is consumed based on wand usage:

  • Each wand operation consumes 1 durability point.

Durability Variations

Different wand tiers have different durability characteristics:

  • Basic Wands: Limited durability, need frequent repair

  • Advanced Wands: Moderate durability, balanced usage

  • Expert Wands: High durability or unbreakable

  • Creative Wands: Typically unbreakable

Repair Methods

Anvil Repair

Most wands can be repaired using an anvil:

  1. Place the wand in the first slot of the anvil

  2. Add repair material in the second slot

  3. Check the repair cost shown in the anvil interface

  4. Complete the repair to restore durability

Repair Materials

Different wands require different repair materials:

  • Basic Wands: Common materials like iron ingots or blaze rods

  • Advanced Wands: More valuable materials like gold ingots or diamonds

  • Expert Wands: Oh, I almost forgot, this wand is unbreakable.

  • Creative Wands: Why would you need to repair an unbreakable wand?

Unbreakable Wands

Expert and Creative Wands

Higher-tier wands are often unbreakable:

  • No durability loss: These wands don't consume durability

  • No repair needed: They never need to be repaired

  • Unlimited use: Perfect for large-scale projects

Unbreakable Characteristics

Durability Display: May show "Unlimited" or "Unbreakable" instead of a number

No Repair Interface: Cannot be placed in anvils for repair

Special Properties: May have additional features not available on regular wands

Troubleshooting Durability Issues

Wand Won't Repair

Check Materials: Ensure you're using the correct repair material

Verify Anvil: Make sure the anvil is properly placed and functional

Permission Issues: You may not have permission to repair certain wands

High Repair Costs

Repair Frequency: Repair more often to avoid high costs Wand Selection: Use appropriate wands for different tasks

Server Settings: Check if repair costs are configured differently on your server

Durability Not Displaying

Wand Type: Some wands may not show durability information or they might be unbreakable

Configuration: Durability display may be disabled in server settings
